Campus Master Planning Goals
Sasaki, along with the Master Planning Steering Committee, established a set of goals to guide the master planning process:


1. Create a campus that reflects UOIT and Durham College's individual identities and aspirations while maintaining a cohesive and unified environment

2. Identify strategies and a physical framework that alleviate existing constrained facilities and accommodate desired growth

3. Enhance the quality of the physical, academic and student life environments on campus

4. Reinforce UOIT and Durham College's role as an economic generator in region through strategic partnerships

5. Respond to the higher education needs identified by the Province of Ontario and the Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities

6. Operate as a flexible planning framework that can fluidly adapt to changing future climates
