Project Description

The City of Rochester is focusing on creating a waterfront development at the Port of Rochester, on the western side of the Genesee River at its outlet to Lake Ontario.

The Port of Rochester will be developed as a vibrant urban village, anchored by a mix of water enhanced residential and commercial uses and public amenities.  The Port will be a place where pedestrians, boaters, residents and visitors enjoy an exciting, festive, safe and water oriented experience.  Residents will call the Port their home and visitors will call it their recreation destination.

What's New?

A public meeting was held Wednesday, April 26 at the Charlotte High School Auditorium to present and discuss the refined master plan concept. See the "Work-to-date" link above for more information on the meeting and the plan. (5-4-06)
